Russian rapper Oxxxymiron donated money from concert tickets and fundraising events during his Russians Against War tour to support Ukrainian kids.
Oxxxymiron is a star of Russian rap and doesn’t need introduction also outside this native country. He is a strong opponent of the war and he demonstrated that in a series of concerts under the banner of Russians Against War. We were very happy to hear that this slogan also translates into concrete help for child victims of the war. It is a great honor for us that the management of Oxxxymiron has chosen the Saint Nicholas Foundation as an organisation that will ensure the best use of the collected funds.
The funds include revenues from tickets sold during concerts in Istanbul, London and Berlin, but also money collected as part of fundraising during the tour. So far, we have managed to collect PLN 692,752.26 in total. The Saint Nicholas Foundation will use all the funds to help child victims of the war.
Since the beginning of the war, over 3 million refugees have fled the country which amounts to the biggest refugee crisis since WW2. Out of this number, almost 2,5 millions have already arrived in Poland. Most of them are women and children – some of whom travel unaccompanied. Each day, about 10 000 moms and children arrive in Warsaw, mainly by train, but also with other forms of public and private transportation.
